Followire Get in touch

Everyone is related.
Most people just can’t see how.

Followire is a network whose connections are family. You record how you are related to the people around you — the app works out everything else, and draws the wire between any two people.

The idea

Six relations in.
Every relation out.

Nobody should have to work out what to call someone. In Followire you only ever say the simple thing — this is my mother, this is my brother, this is my son. Everything further away is worked out from the shape of the path between you.

Mother Father Brother Sister Husband / Wife Son / Daughter
Grandmother Uncle Cousin Niece Sister-in-law Great-grandfather

You enter the six on the left. The app derives the right-hand side — and keeps deriving, however far out the wire runs.

The wire

Travel person to person.

Tap anyone, or simply keep scrolling. They take the centre and their own family opens around them, each relation named as they would name it. Everyone else stays on the wire, quietly, waiting to be reached.

Tap a face — or scroll

Between any two people

“How are we related?”

Open someone’s profile and the wire lights the route between you — every person standing in between, and how many steps it takes to get there. The question families ask at every wedding, answered before anyone has to count on their fingers.

And everything you would expect

A place to actually talk.

A map nobody uses is a diagram. Followire carries the day-to-day too, so the wire stays alive.

Messages

One-to-one and group chats, with photos, voice notes, replies and everything shared in one place.

Voice & video calls

Call one person or the whole group, with the call showing how everyone on it is related.

A family feed

Posts, photos and stories — shared with exactly as much of the wire as you choose, and no further.

Flags

Weddings, birthdays and functions raised so the family sees them without anyone having to send a message.

Filters that make sense

Immediate family, a set number of steps out, or your whole cluster — you choose how wide the room is.

The map itself

Pan, pinch and zoom the wire in two dimensions or three, and come back to yourself with one tap.

Where this goes

One wire, eventually.

Every family is its own cluster today. But families join — at every wedding, two of them become one, and a single new link is all it takes.

Followire is built for that. Clusters connect to clusters, and the map grows outward until the question stops being whether two people are related and becomes how far apart they are. We think that number is smaller than anyone expects.
